M. Lynn Stephenson, PhD

Melissa Lynn Stephenson, PhD, is an audiologist at UT Health East Texas Physicians ENT clinic in Athens. Dr. Stephenson has previously worked in a variety of clinics and taught at the university level. She recognizes the need to provide explanations to her patients in a way that they can understand and feel comfortable with the treatment plan. Each patient has different needs based on their age, lifestyle and activities, thus she strives to focus on what is best for each individual patient. 

“I fell in love with the field of audiology during college while working with adults with developmental disabilities,” she said. “Being able to connect with someone that has difficulty understanding others and seeing the joy on their face when they can communicate with you, motivates me to provide the best possible care to all my patients.” 

Dr. Stephenson offers comprehensive diagnostic hearing assessments for patients of all ages – children through adult. As part of the treatment plan, Dr. Stephenson also counsels and fits patients with hearing aid technology and accessories.

She enjoys spending time with her family, her dogs and being outside either at the beach or hiking in the mountains.
